This is a class for beginners or anyone interested in starting yoga and finding out more about why yoga is so popular.

In addition to the physical practice and postures, which are called asana, we will discuss some yogic philosophy, history, breathing techniques (pranayama) and the yogic lifestyle. 

It is a space where there will be no pressure and your learning and curiosity will be supported. 

You will be both standing and seated on the floor during the class. 

This is a great place to start learning all of the Hatha yoga poses and the various parts to the famous yoga sun salutations and some of the building blocks to great Vinyasa flows. There is an emphasis on alignment.

You take this class at your own pace. Take breaks as your body requires.

With an emphasis on syncing movement and breath to cultivate supportive breathing habits on and off the mat! 

The teachings of yoga provide us with practical tools for self regulation and awareness of our conditioned selves - helping us to loosen some of the ties that can bind us, mentally, physically and spiritually

We are sure you will leave class feeling relaxed and restored and maybe even a little inspired
