This class is just for men (of all ages) who want to get stronger, maintain strength, return to training, learn to lift weights safely or maybe you are working with injuries or mobility issues.
We will use resistance bands, chairs and weights which will get progressively heavier as you become more comfortable with adding load.
We will use pilates to ensure correct postural alignment and we may get onto the mat during class to do some core strengthening work but this is optional.
You will take the class at your own pace.
From the age of 30, we begin to lose muscle if we don't train the muscles and add load to the bones. Healthy muscle is needed to support many functions in the body in order that we age well.
At the end of this 6 weeks you will know how to train upper and lower body exercises with weight and we will discuss some nutritional guidelines and lots of tips and hints to live an an energetic and balanced life!
