Got a button that has fallen off? A hole in your favourite cardigan? Do you wish you could turn up the hem on the school uniform?
Did you know we have fantastic sewing whizzes living in our community? These wonderful people have agreed to help others in the community with household sewing jobs and to pass on their knowledge where they can.
If you are great with a needle and thread you are invited to join us - please get in touch!
Bring your household sewing jobs or 'micky mouse jobs' and receive the knowledge and guidance from our local experts so you can learn to DIY.
This may not be workshop for very elaborate tasks but if there are enough people wanting to mend curtains - we can give it a try
You can make a donation on the day and this donation will go towards a local charity to be nominated by the experts on the day.
Aims of the workshop
To empower you to fix your odd mending jobs and save on crazy mending fees
Remember lost skills or learn some new ones
Pass on the skills within the community
Reduce the throwing away of clothes unnecessarily
Bring neighbours together
Reduce household expenses
Generate funds for a local cause instead of paying big mending fees to one organisation
Date Nov 8th
Time 2- 4pm
Venue The Hub Ballyneety
This event is free - donation based - give what you can
Register your interest - numbers are limited but we hope to run this workshop every month

We are better together!
